Deadly Discs (Derica, UFO Fall)

In hindsight, it was probably a stupid idea. We got the shot though. Everyone after this breathed a sigh of relief it went so well. we had our primary wire rig, our main full-sized UFO, and two scaled models flying through the background on two twin-wire rigs. We setup the background rigs so the UFOs would twist and roll, but we had to weight the models with fishing lures to get them to slide with the correct speed and friction.

Derica was relieved too, and she was jumping up and down for joy after she seen the final print. Yes, it's only for some low-budget sci-fi serial before a matinee, but everyone cares - we do this out of love. No matter how trivial, we give it our all and we're proud of what we do.
